Project Description:

For The Lift, a Long Beach–based cannabis dispensary owned by NorCal Cannabis Company, I created homepage copy that channels the laid-back, surf-meets-street vibe of Retro Row. From playful headlines to friendly, informative product breakdowns, the tone reflects SoCal warmth, positivity, and a commitment to making every customer feel welcome—whether they're seasoned pros or just canna-curious. I also collaborated with the designer to ensure the copy and visuals worked together to educate, engage, and entertain.

Required Age Gate: Copy nods to the Long Beach surf scene and the mellow, sun-soaked spirit of SoCal.

Top of Homepage: Originally headlined “Retro Row’s Friendliest Cannabis Destination,” the intro sets a welcoming tone with a local-first focus.

Homepage Continued – Product Highlights: I worked with the designer to visually represent the different product categories and added a humorous (but accurate) Yelp quote to keep the vibe approachable.

Homepage Continued – Brand Mission: This section introduces The Lift’s mission in a voice that’s positive, human, and slightly cheeky—closing with an invitation to connect on Instagram.
