About Me
Writer. Editor. Storyteller.
Strong opinions about Oxford commas, the San Francisco 49ers, and proper sandwich construction.
I’m a San Francisco–based journalist, copywriter, and content strategist with 15+ years of experience writing stories that make people curious, hungry, informed, and occasionally all three at once. Whether I’m exploring a new city, diving into a brand’s voice, or asking just one more question to get that perfect quote, I’m always searching for the details that make a story feel human. I’ve written about health trends and haunted places, wine bars and road trips, push-up bras and perfect red lipsticks, the best restaurants in San Francisco, and plenty of delightful rabbit holes along the way.
Editorial Work
My journalism covers food, travel, wellness, lifestyle, and culture. I’ve written for publications like Thrillist, Eater SF, Edible San Francisco, BuzzFeed, Eventbrite, and Time Out, covering everything from travel on a budget to the best burgers in San Francisco (a topic I take very seriously). I spent nine seasons writing a 49ers column for SFist and once reviewed dog products with my Saint Bernard. (You can put a 150-pound dog in a shedding-control onesie. You just can’t make him like it.)
Copywriting & Content Strategy
On the brand side, I’ve crafted copy and content for a slew of well-known companies including MyFitnessPal, Sephora, Blue Shield of California, See’s Candies, Homeward Health, Guardian Life Insurance, and Victoria’s Secret. From website messaging and email series to long-form editorial and social campaigns, I specialize in voice-driven storytelling and making complex ideas feel clear and human.
I have an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from UNC Wilmington and a B.F.A. in Dramatic Writing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. I also did a brief stint at the San Francisco Comedy College, which resulted in a few decent punchlines, but no formal accreditation whatsoever.
