Portfolio | LinkedIn

Hi, I’m Daisy—a writer, editor, and content strategist with a deep love for storytelling, a healthy respect for deadlines, and an uncanny ability to write clearly about pretty much anything (including, once, my fear of pigeons).

Over the years, I’ve worked with top-tier brands like MyFitnessPal, Blue Shield of California, See’s Candies, Sephora, and Victoria’s Secret, as well as editorial outlets including Thrillist, Eater, BuzzFeed, and The Nob Hill Gazette. Whether I’m developing a brand voice from scratch, crafting content strategies, or writing a personal essay, I bring clarity, empathy, and creativity to everything I do.

My work spans healthcare, wellness, food and beverage, travel, lifestyle, e-commerce, and conversational AI. If the goal is to connect with an audience in a meaningful way—or make a complicated topic easier to understand—I’m all in.

See below for a selection of roles and projects that show what I do best.

Healthcare has become one of the most rewarding parts of my career. I've partnered with organizations including Homeward Health, Blue Shield of California, Eargo, and Guardian Life to create content that helps people understand their options, access care, and make informed decisions about their health.

My work has included everything from public health campaigns and patient education materials to segmented email programs, direct mail, provider communications, content strategy, and brand voice development. Whether I'm writing about preventive care, hearing health, Medicare, or mental wellness, my goal is always the same: make complex information easier to understand without talking down to people.

  • Lead content strategy and copy development for healthcare organizations, creating campaigns across email, direct mail, web, provider communications, and member outreach

  • Develop messaging frameworks, content calendars, editorial standards, and brand voice guidelines that create consistency across teams and channels

  • Translate complex medical, behavioral health, insurance, and public health topics into clear, accessible language

I launched and led editorial strategy for Thrillist San Francisco, managing freelancers, assigning stories, and driving audience growth. Then I went freelance and wrote... a lot.

  • Oversaw local content calendar and edited freelance contributions

  • Wrote 75+ articles annually, from city guides to listicles to highly scientific burger rankings

Undergrad Writing Instructor | University of North Carolina Wilmington

While earning my MFA in Creative Writing, I taught English and Creative Writing to undergrads—developing original course materials, leading workshops, and keeping students engaged (even with the beach just down the road). I focused on building a supportive classroom environment that encouraged curiosity, clarity, and a genuine interest in the craft.
